I got married here six years ago after falling in love with the place. Gorgeous setting and lovely hotel. I've returned many times and was so looking forward to this visit. We arrived Saturday expecting a fully intensively cleaned hotel to find nothing had changed, cobwebs, dirty tiles, worn carpets, chipped furniture, worn sofas and as we always stay in the same room when we come the damaged and stained carpet was still the same. The toilet floor in the lady's toilets behind reception was shocking as you can see in the photo, I nearly tripped!!! The breakfast was a awful, came cold, undercooked scrambled egg sent back only to return burnt - minus mushrooms and tomatoes. The poor staff were run ragged and tried their very best and were brilliant. I was embarrassed for them. I'm very sad to say I doubt I will return.
